How should Christians interact together? Both the Bible and BT-7274, a robot from a sci-fi shooter called Titanfall 2, can help answer that question. BT reflects brotherly love in his interaction with Jack Cooper.
First, Christians should honor each other. Romans 12:10 says, "Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor" (ESV). When given the option to receive a new pilot, BT-7274 gives high praise to Jack Cooper by keeping him, a basic Rifleman, as pilot because they are a good team. Christians should take opportunities to praise each other when they do well.
Second, Christians should support each other. Philippians 2:6 says, "Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others" (ESV). Before Jack was a pilot, BT-7274 saves his life from a hungry wild animal. Christians should look out for each other, too. Christians should uphold each other in times of difficulty and keep each other accountable in their walk with Christ.
Third, a Christian should bear each other's burdens. Galatians 6:1-2 says, "Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ" (ESV). Through out the game, Jack and BT work together to protect each other and defeat the enemy. At one point, BT catches Jack from falling to certain death. Christians can keep each other awake in services, help care for each other's children, and help feed each other during times of sickness.
Christians should treat each other with honor, while upholding each other in the battle of life. Christians do this out of love shown by Christ’s example as 1 John 4:10-12 says, "In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us" (ESV). Now, go show love!
